How to Bind Gate.io API

How to create and bind an API Key from Gate.io to Otrading

Now, let's dive in.

1. Initially, log in to your Gate.io account on the official Gate.io website(www.gate.io).

2. Touch avatar icon, locate and click on “API Management” in the dropdown.

3. Click “Create API Key”.

1. First, enter a remark for your API key like Otrading. After that, pick “Later” in the “IP Permissions”.

2. Then, select “API v4 Key” in the “API Key Type”.

3. Next, choose “Trading Account” in the “Account Type”.

4. Afterward, open “Spot Trade” and “Perpetual Futures”, both enabling “Read And Write”. Please note that "Perpetual Futures" permission can only be granted after funds are transferred to your futures account.

5. Finally, click "Submit".

6. Check the three items in risk reminder, then click "I Accept."

1. Enter your “Fund Password”. Next, get and enter Google authenticator code. Then, click "Confirm".

Great! Your API Key is now created.

1. Copy the Key and the Secret.

2. Open Otrading App, locate “Bind API”.

1. Select Gate.io and paste the Key and the Secret into the respective field.

2. Finally, click “Bind”.

3. Read and accept “Third -Party Transaction Security Authorization Prompt”.

When you see the "Binding completed", it's time to dive into trading with Otrading.
